Shipping & Delivery
11 questionsWhen will I receive my generator?
Orders are processed within 1 – 2 business days (Mon – Fri). Parcel-eligible generators (smaller inverter units) typically arrive within 2 – 5 business days. Freight generators (full-size portable, tri-fuel, and standby units) typically arrive within 5 – 10 business days, depending on your location and the freight carrier's schedule. A tracking link will be emailed to you once your order ships.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. Jepordy LLC offers free standard shipping on all U.S. orders with no minimum required — including heavy freight generators. Liftgate service is also included free of charge for residential addresses. No hidden fees, no surprise freight surcharges.
Where can I track my order?
Track your generator in two ways:
- Click the tracking link in your shipping confirmation email
- Or enter your Order ID and billing email on our Order Status page
Please allow up to 48 hours after shipment for tracking updates to appear in the carrier's system. Freight orders include both a Jepordy lookup and a separate BOL (Bill of Lading) number from the LTL carrier.
Do you ship internationally?
No. We currently ship only within the contiguous United States (lower 48 states). We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, APO/FPO military addresses, or international destinations. Select smaller parcel-eligible generators may be available for Alaska/Hawaii — please contact us before ordering to confirm.
Which generators require freight shipping?
Most full-size generators (typically 150 – 600 lbs) ship by LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight. This includes portable units 5,000W+, dual-fuel and tri-fuel generators, and standby home backup units. The freight carrier will contact you 24 – 48 hours before delivery to schedule a 4-hour delivery window. For full details, see our Freight Shipping Policy.
Is liftgate service really free?
Yes — at no extra charge. Liftgate service is included free of charge for all residential addresses. A liftgate is the hydraulic platform on the back of a freight truck that lowers your generator pallet from truck-bed height to ground level. Without one, the carrier would only be able to slide the pallet off a loading dock.
Will the driver bring the generator inside my garage?
No. Freight delivery is curbside only — the driver lowers the pallet to the end of your driveway with a liftgate. You are responsible for moving the generator from the curb to its final location. Generators weighing 300+ lbs typically require two people or a hand truck to relocate.
What is the order cut-off time?
Orders placed before 11:00 PM CST on business days (Mon – Fri) are processed the next business day. Orders placed after this time, on weekends, or on U.S. federal holidays are processed the following business day.
I entered the wrong shipping address. Can I change it?
Contact us immediately at Contact@jepordy.com or +1 (608) 360-1301. If your generator has not yet shipped (typically the first 1 – 2 business days), we can update the address at no charge. Address changes after pickup may incur carrier reconsignment fees.
Can I ship to multiple addresses in one order?
No. We do not support multiple shipping addresses within a single order. For multiple destinations, please place separate orders for each address.
What happens if my generator arrives damaged?
If you see visible damage at delivery, note it on the freight receipt before signing. Take dated photos from multiple angles. Then email us at Contact@jepordy.com within 48 hours with your order number and photos. We will arrange a replacement, repair, or full refund at no cost to you. For severe visible damage, you may also refuse the delivery entirely.
Generators & Products
8 questionsWhat's the difference between portable, inverter, and standby generators?
- Portable generators — wheeled, gas or dual-fuel units (3,000 – 15,000W) for jobsite, RV, tailgate, and emergency use. Best value per watt.
- Inverter generators — quieter, cleaner-power units that produce stable sine-wave power for sensitive electronics. Ideal for RVs and recreational use.
- Standby / whole-home generators — stationary units installed on a concrete pad, wired into your home via a transfer switch, and automatically start when the power goes out. Best for whole-home backup.
What's the difference between dual-fuel and tri-fuel generators?
Dual-fuel generators run on gasoline + propane. Tri-fuel generators add natural gas as a third option, giving you maximum flexibility during prolonged outages — especially valuable for whole-home backup where you can tie into your home's natural gas line for unlimited runtime.
What size generator do I need for my home?
It depends on what you need to power. As a rough guide:
- 3,000 – 4,500W: Refrigerator, lights, a few small appliances, RV use
- 7,500 – 9,500W: Refrigerator, lights, well pump, sump pump, window AC
- 10,000 – 13,000W: Most essentials including central AC and electric range
- 14,000W+ / Standby: Whole-home backup including HVAC and large appliances
For an accurate sizing estimate, list every appliance you want to run simultaneously and add up their starting wattages (motors and compressors briefly draw 2–3x their running watts). When in doubt, consult a licensed electrician.
Are your generators brand-new and genuine?
Yes — 100%. Every generator we sell is brand-new, factory-sealed, and sourced from the manufacturer or an authorized U.S. distributor. We do not sell refurbished, gray-market, or counterfeit units. Each unit ships with its original manufacturer warranty intact. See our Product Authenticity & Sourcing page for full details.
Which brands do you carry?
We are an authorized retailer of DuroMax, Generac, Westinghouse, Firman, Champion, Cummins, Pulsar, DuroStar, Dewalt, Powermate, BE Power Equipment, and Yamaha.
Are your generators EPA and CARB compliant?
All combustion-engine generators we sell are EPA-certified to meet federal U.S. emissions standards. Where indicated on the product page, units are also CARB-compliant (California Air Resources Board) and legal for sale and operation in California. Some models may not be available for California shipping due to CARB restrictions — product pages clearly indicate California eligibility.
Do you offer installation services for standby generators?
No. Jepordy LLC ships generator products only — we do not provide installation services. Standby and whole-home generators must be installed by a licensed electrician and, where natural gas is used, a licensed gas technician. You will also need to verify local permitting requirements with your municipality before installation.
Do you sell replacement parts?
We do not sell individual replacement parts directly. However, if your generator is under warranty, the manufacturer may ship replacement parts directly to you. For out-of-warranty parts, the manufacturer's authorized service network or aftermarket OEM parts suppliers are the best path. Contact us at Contact@jepordy.com and we will help direct you to the right channel.
Orders & Payments
6 questionsWhat payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Stripe, Shop Pay, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. All transactions are secured with current TLS 1.3 encryption and processed through PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateways.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Our website uses TLS 1.3 encryption and AES-256 data security — current industry standards. All payments are processed through PCI-DSS-compliant gateways. Jepordy LLC never stores your full credit card number on our servers — only the last 4 digits for reference. See our Billing Terms & Conditions for full details.
Do you offer financing or payment plans?
Jepordy LLC does not directly offer financing or in-house payment plans. However, financing may be available through third-party services such as Shop Pay Installments, PayPal Pay Later, or your card issuer's installment plans, subject to their own terms and credit approval.
Why is there a pending hold for more than the order total on my card?
This is a normal banking practice called an authorization hold. Because generators are high-ticket items, your bank may temporarily reserve the funds while verifying your payment method. It is not an actual charge — the funds clear from your statement within 3 – 7 business days if your order is cancelled or refunded. The actual charge only posts when your generator ships.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, you can cancel any order before it ships. Contact us as soon as possible at Contact@jepordy.com or +1 (608) 360-1301. Parcel orders are typically cancellable within 1 business day; freight orders within 1 – 2 business days (before pickup is scheduled). Once shipped, cancellations become returns under our 90-Day Refund & Returns Policy.
Do you charge sales tax?
Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address, in accordance with applicable U.S. state tax laws. Tax-exempt customers (resellers, government agencies, qualifying non-profits) may submit a valid exemption certificate to Contact@jepordy.com before checkout.
Returns & Refunds
6 questionsWhat is your return policy?
We accept returns of both defective and non-defective generators within 90 days of delivery — no restocking fees, free return shipping. The generator must be unused (not started, fueled, or oiled) and in original packaging for change-of-mind returns. Contact us at Contact@jepordy.com to get started, or see our Refund & Returns Policy for full details.
Who pays for return shipping?
We do — in every approved return scenario, even change-of-mind returns. We provide a free prepaid label for parcel-shipped generators and arrange free freight pickup at your address for freight units. No charge to you, even for heavy units that would normally cost hundreds to ship back.
Why must the generator be unused and free of fuel/oil?
It's a federal regulation, not a policy choice. EPA and U.S. hazmat regulations prohibit shipping fueled or oiled generators through any freight or parcel carrier. Once a generator has been started, fueled, or oiled, it must be drained completely (fuel tank, carburetor, and oil reservoir) before it can be shipped back. Defective and damaged-on-arrival units are exempt from this requirement and handled separately.
How long does a refund take?
Once we receive and inspect your returned generator (typically within 72 hours of arrival at our warehouse), your full refund is processed within 3 – 5 business days. Depending on your bank, the funds may take an additional 3 – 7 business days to appear in your account. Refunds are always issued to the original payment method, with no restocking fees ever.
What if I received the wrong generator or a defective one?
We sincerely apologize for any errors. Email us at Contact@jepordy.com with your order number and a description of the issue. Depending on the problem, we may ship replacement parts, coordinate manufacturer service, send a full replacement unit, or issue a complete refund. You typically do not need to return a damaged generator unless we specifically request it.
How do I exchange a generator for a different model?
Email us at Contact@jepordy.com with your order number and the model you would like to exchange for. We will process the original generator as a return (free pickup, full refund) and place a new order at the same time — keeping your account on the new model without delay.
Warranty
5 questionsDo your generators come with a warranty?
Yes — every generator includes the full original manufacturer warranty. Coverage typically ranges from 2 years on portable units to 10 years on whole-home standby generators, depending on the brand and model. See our Warranty Information page for the exact warranty period for each brand we carry.
What does the warranty cover?
Manufacturer warranties typically cover manufacturing defects, defective engine components, alternator failures, control panel issues, and factory assembly errors under normal residential use. They generally do not cover damage from stale fuel, improper installation, unauthorized modifications, non-OEM parts, overloading beyond rated capacity, acts of God, or normal wear items (spark plugs, oil filters, air filters).
How do I make a warranty claim?
Email Contact@jepordy.com with the subject "Warranty Claim – [Your Order Number]". Include your order number, generator brand and model, date of purchase, a description of the issue, and clear photos or videos of the defect. We will work directly with the manufacturer's warranty department on your behalf to resolve the claim. Response time is typically 2 – 3 business days.
Do I need to register my generator?
Most manufacturers strongly recommend registering your generator within 30 days of purchase. Registration is free and speeds up future warranty claims by establishing your ownership and warranty start date in the manufacturer's system. Visit the manufacturer's official website (typically at "[brand].com/register-your-product") and submit your serial number, model number, and date of purchase.
What's the difference between the engine warranty and the generator warranty?
Some generators use third-party engines (Honda, Kohler, Briggs & Stratton) and have two separate warranties. The generator manufacturer covers the alternator, frame, control panel, outlets, and chassis. The engine manufacturer covers the engine block, cylinder, valves, carburetor, and ignition. The engine warranty is typically handled separately by the engine maker, not the generator brand. Contact us if you need help identifying the correct service path.
